Hyrox Training with Fitness Factory Performance

Train Smarter. Compete Stronger. Crush Your Hyrox Goals.

Hyrox is one of the fastest-growing fitness competitions worldwide — combining running and functional fitness challenges in a high-intensity, strategic race format. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned Hyrox athlete, training with expert guidance is key to improving your performance, avoiding injury, and hitting your personal best.

At Fitness Factory Performance, we specialise in preparing men and women over 30 for Hyrox success. Our coaching blends endurance, strength, technique, and race strategy into every session so you’re ready to perform on race day — confident, strong, and resilient.

What is Hyrox?

Hyrox is an 8 x 1km run alternating with 8 functional fitness stations including sled pushes, rowing, wall balls, burpee broad jumps, farmer’s carries, and more. The race tests your speed, strength, stamina, and mental grit over approximately 60–90 minutes depending on your level.

Why Train for Hyrox?

Many people underestimate the specific demands of Hyrox. Without proper training, it’s easy to fatigue too early, lose technique, or burn out mid-race. Smart training helps you:

  • Build the specific endurance needed to sustain speed across all runs and stations

  • Improve functional strength and power to complete obstacles efficiently

  • Develop race pacing and recovery strategies to avoid burnout

  • Sharpen mental toughness and confidence for race day pressure

  • Prevent injuries by correcting form and strengthening key muscle groups

How We Train for Hyrox

Our sessions mirror the demands of race day, combining running intervals, functional fitness movements, and strength work in a progressive, periodised program. Typical training includes:

  • Running drills: interval training, tempo runs, and pacing strategies

  • Functional circuits: sled pushes and pulls, wall balls, burpee broad jumps, rowing technique

  • Strength & conditioning: loaded carries, squats, deadlifts, presses, and core stability

  • Recovery and mobility work to improve longevity and prevent injuries

  • Mental prep including visualization, breathing techniques, and race-day routines
